18 Year Old CANADIAN Shapovalov Off To THIRD Round Of US Open. CANADIAN. TENNIS!
Source – The 18-year-old Canadian made a huge jump in the rankings, from World No. 143 to No. 69, earlier this month when he advanced to the semifinals at the Masters 1000 tournament in Montreal. On Wednesday night in front of a sellout Arthur Ashe crowd, Shapovalov knocked out No. 8-seed Jo-Wilfred Tsonga 6-4, 6-4, 7-6(3) to reach the third round at a Grand Slam for the first time in his career.

The kid is a great talent, and he’s super fun to watch for sure, and Milos Raonic catches a break from having the entire countries tennis expectations on his back. I wonder if it pisses Milos off a little? He used to be the BMOC and in walks this blond haired, blue eyed stud, that plays like he’s going to the electric chair while Milos is somewhere on a massage table getting his hamstrings worked on.
I wouldn’t like it if I was Canada’s big swinging tennis dick and a bigger one showed up next to me and started swinging it around.
Maybe instead of being enemies they’ll be like Chazz Michael Michaels and Jimmy McElroy and play doubles and light the tennis world a flame.
Good for the kid. The Nadal win a couple of weeks ago looks like it gave him the confidence he needed to play this kind of tennis I just hope we dont beat the Canadian thing to death. But we will.
