There’s something incredible about people and organizations with ZERO self-awareness.

Canada Proud and their Client, Pierre Poilievere, are prototypes of a “Lack Of Self Awareness.”

Last week, Canada Proud (an official agent of Pierre Poilievre and Doug Ford’s digital hate machine) sued us. They claim we “embarrassed” them and destroyed their ability to get all that free donation money (millions) from Conservative donors that help Political parties circumvent election spending on advertising. They’ll have to prove that in court, and we’re excited for the opportunity to go to court.

I want to get to discovery. A portion of a legal proceeding where a party that claims financial disaster from their pleadings has to show you their books, communications, etc, that justifies their claim.

Jeff Ballingall claims I embarrassed him to the point where it cost him 200k. They also demanded an injunction that I never talk about them or their clients publicly again.

COOOOOOL. Our legal team responded, “he’s allowed to talk about anything he wants because he did nothing wrong” (I’m parphrashing).

It would be cooler if Ryan O’Connor, Lawyer of record and the Director of Ontario/Canada Proud, weren’t hiding the fact he’s one of their executive directors while defaming me (again) in a desperate plea for funding help. For the lawsuit they launched.

Suggesting I take money from Trudeau is defamatory and disingenuous, in my opinion.

But the fucking wild part is begging for money to service a lawsuit you filed. Generally speaking, legitimate lawsuits come properly funded when you have a case.

So Canada Proud thought I’d shut up because they threatened me as they have done to HUNDREDS of people, usually on the same day…with the same language – like it’s a form letter for snowflakes who want to be left alone to peddle (IMO).

For the record: We do not take ANY money from ANY political party, third party, or agent of a political party.

Ryan O’Connor, Jeff Ballingall, and all the folks at Canada Proud/Mobilize Media – The Official third-party media agent of the Conservative Party of Canada – are their exclusive agents.

They also take significant money donations from Conservative Donors in the home building and oil and gas industry, to name a few. It’s the “Third Party Model” that enables political parties to spend millions outside the elections Canada rules to attack any and every opponent. Like me. Allegedly.

Canada Proud AND the Conservative Party don’t want you to know any of this, by the way. That’s why they refuse to talk to media outlets about their “work” with PeePee. They want people to think they are a legitimate news interest when they are not. They are a firehose of paid propaganda for their clients. Like PeePee, Doug Ford, Danielle Smith, and other Conservative politicians.

CBC: Pierre Poilievre may be known for his social media savvy, but his campaign is getting some help from a conservative meme machine.

Jeff Ballingall’s company, Mobilize Media, has been retained by the Poilievre Conservative leadership campaign, sources familiar with the hiring told CBC News.

CBC News is not revealing the sources’ identities because they are not authorized to speak publicly about it. The Poilievre campaign declined to comment.

Ballingall specializes in shareable, anti-Liberal messaging that often takes on a mocking or outraged tone. His Canada Proud and Ontario Proud accounts have amassed hundreds of thousands of followers on Facebook and tens of thousands more on Twitter and Instagram.

Mobilize Media bills itself as offering digital strategies, boosting online communities to support a campaign and helping clients harvest “troves of data” to guide a campaign “and measure its impact.”

By taking money and direction from political parties and doing work exclusive to their clients, YOU can’t take any third-party agency seriously.

Not one.

Canada Proud and their “Proud Network” exist exclusively for clients who share their ideological bent, narrative, and defamatory business model to damage the reputation of those they consider a threat and to push whatever narrative they’re paid to. EXCLUSIVELY for their clients while pretending to be “Media.”

Canada Proud doesn’t want you to know who their clients are or that they are behind defamatory/libelous content paid for by political parties. They’d like you to think they are a legitimately unbiased media org.

In their pleadings, they claimed to be an “ethical taxpayer advocacy group.”  If ethics requires transparency, why do they hide who they work for, who donates, and why do they hide fundraising totals or where that fundraising (one of their business models) money goes?

We don’t hide anything, ESPECIALLY where your donations to our legal defense go. According to our best estimates, it will cost between 50-100k to defend ourselves against this “lawsuit.” We hope to raise $25,000 but are grateful for any support.

We started a GoFundme, which has raised $16,143.00. I’ve never been more humbled and thankful than I am today. So, “Thank you.”

We’re unbiased, and we ETHICALLY and TRANSPARENTLY put all of our shit on Front Street.

As a private citizen, being sued by a proxy of Pierre Poilievre isn’t fun. I’ve been called a pedophile a few hundred times by their supporters (go through my replies). The GoFundMe has been reported numerous times by the same folks, and I’ve had two bags of garbage stolen or “rooted” through this week.

This happens all day.

These are the trolls and bots Canada Proud says do not exist.

Not new.

The Garbage thing is new. And not comforting. I don’t know if there’s a connection, and there probably isn’t, but Canada Proud found an address not attached to my name in their court docs, so I find that weirdly disconcerting.
