“A person familiar with the departures told CNN that Trump wanted the attorneys to argue there was mass election fraud and that the election was stolen from him rather than focus on the legality of convicting a president after he’s left office. Trump was not receptive to the discussions about how they should proceed in that regard,” CNN reported.

Trump is required to file his first legal brief by Tuesday and he needs a lawyer to do that so he’s effectively and legally fucked.

According to Maggie Haberman, Trump wanted his legal team to argue ‘The Big Lie’ – that the election was stolen.  His Lawyers quit en masse after failing to convince him that “The Big Lie’ wasn’t a legal defense in his impeachment trial for starting an insurrection and now, he’s considering not showing up to his Senate trial to ‘save money on legal fees’ because he’s broke AF.

The OTHER reason Trump’s team walked?  He told them they were going to ‘work for free’ because it was a ‘privilege’ to represent him.

Get fucked.  I’ve never met a lawyer who works for free and I’ve been looking for years.

I can’t wait for this trial.  I’m just as sick of Dickfarm Don as the rest of you, but the Schadenfreude possibilities of Trump playing a TV lawyer is masturbatory to me.
