Holy shit. Andrew Luck just retired from the NFL.
What more can I say other than WOW? I’m not even a Colts fan, and I feel blindsided by the decision. I use the word blindsided knowing there is a negative connotation to it. But that’s not the way in which I mean it here. I simply mean, I didn’t see it coming. And with the magnitude of his decision to leave on the organization, am just blown away by it.
But as the shock begins to wear off, and I listen to Andrew Luck’s Press Conference, I get it. The guy has been injured in one way or another for the last four years. He finally returns to football and then injures himself again. He’s tired of it. He’s frustrated by it. And he doesn’t want to be a 50-year old man who can’t walk. After four years of pain, I’d retire too.

But with that being said, it is tough to watch him go. Not many men could replace a legend. Especially one the likes of Peyton Manning. But Luck did. He was one hell of a football player. He retires with a 53-33 record, 23,671 passing yards, 171 touchdowns, and just 83 interceptions. The man had a fucking career. Enjoy retirement, sir. Hopefully, you unretire next year and we see you where you belong, under center.
Cheers.
PS: don’t ever do this…
This is brutal. Everyone in the building knows this is the last time he's walking off the field. Appreciate his career. Luck's a gem, let's hope we eventually hear from him on the big screen. Thumbs down to the preseason Patty's in the peanut gallery. https://t.co/8MbvFUofI3
