Oskee Win Win, Argonauts Lose 27-24

Jul 21, 2024

Hello from Hamilton as I’ve made the trip down the QEW to watch the Argonauts take on their foes the Hamilton Ti Cats.

The fans are here in full force tonight as Hamilton looks to get its first win of the year. Things got going for the Tabbies quickly as a blocked punt by Ante Litre set up Hamilton in Toronto’s red zone and James Butler ran his way into the endzone to give Hamilton an early 7-0 lead.

The first quarter ended with Hamilton up 7-0, Toronto’s offence looks stagnent at times but one note is about Cameron Dukes and his QB awareness has improved significantly, he just needs to make throws into the endzone and the Argos can be in business.

Business was haltered as Destin Talbert recovered a Cameron Dukes fumble and ran that ball 31 yards to the house and Hamilton is up 17-0 off two Toronto turnovers.

Toronto answered back quickly as Cameron Dukes is getting more comfarabtle with the ball and workhorse Ka’Deem Carey, finds the endzone to get Toronto back into this ball game.

The half ended with a missed FG by Toronto and we go into the half with Hamilton still up 17-7.

The second half started with Toronto getting the game back to a one.  However, late in the third quarter, Hamilton’s Luther Hakunavanhu takes it 23 yards to give Hamilton the 27-10 lead.

As you’ve seen in many a betting videos of mine, ive said we fade Hamilton till they prove us wrong, well it’s time to play the black and gold piper in Hamilton as they are winning in all three phases of the game and Toronto is back to the drawing board of the game. As things look bleak and Nick Arbuckle takes over for Dukes, Arbuckle finds DaVaris Daniels in the endzone to get this back to a 10 point game.

Hold on, that is Janarion Grant’s music as he runs it back 96 yards and with a little over 2 minutes to go, the Argonauts have life, 27-24 game.

Toronto’s late attempt to either tie or win the game were shot by an offside penalty and Hamilton held on to win their first of the season 27-24.

I had the chance to speak to coach Dinwiddie, plus QB Nick Arbuckle and RB Ka’Deem Carey post game.

The Argonauts don’t have a lot time to recoup as they welcome Winnipeg to town next weekend and with questions at QB, the Double Blue have to get things sorted quickly as they can’t afford to fall under .500.

Hi, my name is Griff and I'm a complete sports nut. I love to play sports, watch sports and most importantly bet on sports too. If I'm not watching or betting on sports, you can find me on the golf course, between the pipes as your average beer league goaltender. Although sports take up most of my life, I also love spending time with my two dogs, streaming usually a 90's Simpson's or attempting to read more books.
