Bell Media Refused To Submit Lisa LaFlamme For A Broadcasting Award After Firing Her For Letting Her Hair Turn Grey, So She Did It Her Self..

Feb 24, 2023

And she’s going to win.

I love a good underdog story.

Lisa LaFlamme is Canada’s Newscaster and has been for decades. She hosted the number 1 evening news show in Canada forever and was unceremoniously dumped by Bell (according to her) for letting her hair go grey.

Since then, she’s become an ICON/lighting rod for feminists, anti-MSM activists, and agists.

Bell deciding not to nominate her for a Canadian Screen award makes perfect sense because she no longer works there. It’s cheap AF, but she’s not an employee.

Lisa’s self-nomination for “Best News Anchor” will come with some activist nostalgia, but she did her job better than anyone in 2022. That took some serious lady stones, and Canadian female broadcasting legends like Erin Davis dig it.

LISA deserves to be there, so good for her!

It’s easy to root for Lisa when her opponent is a collusive Telco (BELL) who’ve spent the last ten years fucking over employees on their way to destroying traditional outlets. After crying poor to the Feds, they took government subsidies to pay their employees. They turned around and gave that as shareholder dividends, then fired hundreds, if not thousands, of people in line to get that subsidy.

Bell Media is the enemy in Canada, and Lisa is that friendly voice/face the enemy needed to dull that hate. Instead of keeping her and her stellar reputation around, they fired her after she refused to color her hair anymore (allegedly).

Even though none of the Canadian Screen Awards are merit-based (it’s a vast stroke job for media/industry dicks who take turns sharing awards depending on who owes who what), I hope she wins. Nothing would look better on every other fake news outlet not named Bell/CTV/CP24 than Lisa’s face smiling ear to ear with that arctic blond hair, blowing in the wind from the applause from other people who are defined by awards.

Good luck to all the Ego’s looking to please their abusive parents that night!  I hear the Shrimp is fantastic!
