Bell Media is nothing more than a deceitful enterprise that hates the people of the country they say they serve. They never do anything for people; they do things TO people. Instead of investigating newsroom culture, they should be investigating executive culture. That’s where the real assholes are.

That’s right. One of Bell’s big bugaboos when it came to Lisa? She decided to stop coloring her hair.

That came from the head of Bell’s news broadcasting division, Michael Melling, who smartly turned locked his ONLY known social media account after firing Lisa for advocating for common sense news coverage (and not coloring her hair).

When they aren’t firing people a week after monetizing Bell Let’s Talk, they’re firing pioneering female broadcasters for being EXCELLENT at their jobs and for having grey hair.

Bell is misogynist and ageist. Add that to complicit in destroying the mental health of hundreds, maybe thousands of employees as they continue to destroy human lives on their way to profitability for their foreign investors.

They are destroying the broadcast industry and the people in it when they aren’t deciding what news and information you need/don’t need to see or hear according to their bottom line.

I talked to someone who works for a Bell property last week, and he told .me

Bell media can’t find people to do traditional media gigs,

“It’s tough to fill presenter positions. We’re asking people to do four jobs for a poverty wage. No one trusts us with their future, and fewer people want to move their family only to be stuck in Kingston after getting downsized three months in.”

Good. I’m glad no one trusts Bell. They earned it and continue to set the pace for every shitty cooperation in this country. It’s between Air Canada, Bell, and ROGERS, but Bell is that cold asshole who does the bare minimum regarding doing the right thing for their employees.

So they hire ferrets like Michael Melling to treat people like shit in case they need someone to fire when we find out.

Moot ages ago. After last year’s Let’s Talk, Bell Media fired hundreds of people in spite of their record profits. Let’s Talk is merely a public relations stunt.

I wouldn’t work for Bell media if they BEGGED me. No one in their right mind with any experience in broadcasting or media would or should consider Bell Media a safe place to work. It’s a meat grinder of money for German investors and executive bonuses.
