The NHL season kicks off in just over a month, and now is the best time to get great odds on future bets. Gamblers may consider placing some money on a former Leaf to the Vezina.

The former Toronto Maple Leaf became a favourite of mine during the 2018-2019 season. Anderson was having a Vezina type of year, then the wheels fell off. Despite that collapse, he was able to get a fresh start in Carolina. Anderson had an excellent year last season with the Carolina Hurricanes. Andersen won 35 of his 52 starts. He posted a respectable 2.17 GAA and a .922 SV%

Andersen can and should be a critical part of Carolina’s bid to win a second Stanley Cup for the franchise. As a die-hard Leafs fan, it would be bitter-sweet to watch Anderson help lead Carolina to a cup. However, I’m very comfortable putting $20 on Andersen winning the Vezina. The risk is losing $20, and the reward is winning $420. If you ask me, it’s totally worth the risk.
