Bills’ Fans Trying To Erase Devastating Playoff Defeat With Meaningless Week Six Win Over The Chiefs

Oct 12, 2022

Bills Mafia desperately wants Buffalo to defeat Kansas City Sunday afternoon. The bad news is it doesn’t mean anything.

Arrowhead Stadium will be the scene for a heavyweight showdown between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs. This will be the first time Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes meet since the Chiefs broke Buffalo’s heart with 13-seconds left in last season’s Divisional round.

Judging by what I’ve read on Twitter, Bills Mafia is hoping the Bills will get some revenge and score a win over Mahomes and Andy Reid. Here’s the thing, a regular season win is not a revenge game. Sean McDermott’s regular season record at Arrowhead is 2-0. Conversely, McDermott is 0-2 in the postseason in Kansas City. This game could go a long way toward shaping the first seed in the AFC, but it’s not a revenge game.

The Chiefs Kingdom will chirp Bills Mafia whether Kansas City wins or loses. Over the past three seasons, the Chiefs went to two Super Bowls, won one of them, and knocked the Bills out twice. There is nothing Buffalo fans can say this week that will negatively impact a Chiefs fan.

Sports fans will always find something to hang on to. Bills fans want to forget the playoff blunder with a week six win over the Chiefs. It’s no different than the Chiefs Kingdom celebrating a meaningless victory over Tom Brady in the regular season. Brady won the Super Bowl twice after beating the Chiefs in the postseason.

I’m not trying to take the steam out of this game, but it’s only Week 6. If the Bills want revenge, beat the Chiefs in the playoffs.
