Blake Griffin instantly made the Pistons a better team
I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. I don’t actually hate to say it, because I love being right. But Blake Griffin instantly made the Pistons a better team, and last night proved exactly that. Blake Griffin went off against the Memphis Grizzlies. He scored 24 points, 10 rebounds, and had 5 assists; not to mention two blocks as well.
Some took great offence in my previous article in regards to Blake Griffin being traded, when I said that Blake Griffin was traded to the Pistons for basically nothing. I stand by that statement. Don’t get me wrong, Tobias Harris and Avery Bradley are good serviceable players, but they aren’t difference makers. And last night proved me correct in saying that also.

The Pistons had no problem finding players to replace them. Besides Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond, the Pistons had four other players score 12 or more points. That’s what happens when you have a player like Griffin, the rest of your team scores more often as well. And when you pair him with an Andre Drummond, they’re going to demand the majority of a defences focus.
Needless to say the Pistons are excited to have him as well:
