Vladdy Will Lead The Blue Jays To A World Series

Apr 11, 2022

There’s a lot of hype around the Toronto Blue Jays going into this season, and it’s well deserved. At the centre of it all is Vladimir Guerrero Jr, and man is he something special.

I know that this is going to sound totally homerish, but fuck it I don’t care. I have a lot of belief in this Toronto Blue Jays team. They are filled with so much talent. They also have Vladdy, and he’s special for so many different reasons. In the dugout, on the field, in front of the media, Vlad is bigger than life. He’s also going to lead the Blue Jays to the World Series.

You know sometimes when you’re waiting for something and then it doesn’t turn out to be as good as you thought it would. That’s not the case with Vlad. Think back a fews years when he was ripping it up in the minor leagues and we were all waiting for him to come to the show. He hasn’t disappointed. From his Home Run Derby performances, to stealing second base in Spring Training. He’s a special talent. His infectious smile, bigger than life personality, and smashing baseballs. He’s too good a talent to waste, and I’m going to be a bit of a Toronto homer for a minute, and say that I believe Vlad will bring the World Series back to Toronto.

Truthfully is this even that difficult to try and envision right now. Get over the fact that the pitching absolutely sucked on Sunday, this Blue Jays team is sooooooo fucking good, and they’re only going to build momentum as the season goes on. The 2015 run in Toronto was amazing. The buzz in the city was like nothing I ever felt before, and it wasn’t matched until the Raptors won the championship. However, the faith I have in this 2022 Blue Jays team is way higher than I had in 2015. No this isn’t me getting caught up in the histeria, I really fucking mean it, and I’ve never felt more confident in my life.

That’s a bold fucking statement considering what happening with the Maple Leafs and the Raptors. We had to listen to Dean and Lochlin argue about who was better: Auston Matthews or Connor McDavid, so I don’t know if I’m able to ruffle feathers right now and say that Vladdy is the best athlete in Toronto. What I will say is, he’s the most loveable. Ball players are the most likable athletes of the major four professional sports leagues as it, but Vlad brings it to a new level. He’s a great ambassador for the city, and he kind of reminds a bit of David Ortiz in Boston, and those are big fucking words coming from me.
