The Buffalo Bills have informed their rookie punter Matt Araiza that he is being released.

Bills have informed rookie punter Matt Araiza that he is being released, effective immediately. Araiza has been accused along with two others of gang raping a 17-year-old girl last year in a civil lawsuit filed on Thursday.

I’ve covered this story for the last three days so I’m not going to get into all the details. But, the Buffalo Bills have done the right thing and cut Araiza amid accusations of Araiza being involved in a gang rape of a 17-year-old girl. 

I give a lot of credit to the Bills Mafia. Reports have emerged all day on Saturday that the Bills organization have been aware of these accusations since July. I believe it was the pressure that the fans put on the organization that led to Buffalo’s decision. I don’t think Brandon Beane was expectint the response he received from his fan base. Buffalo Bills fans put human life ahead of football.
