Are you fucking serious??? In the past when they told you to stop being a douchebag you corrected your behavior yet you had no idea you were a being a douchebag? OK.
The only way this makes sense is if he’s referring to other shitty behavior or language that has nothing to do with inappropriate conduct in the workplace which doesn’t play here because he’s addressing the reason for his termination.
I do however like him saying ROGERS drew attention to his behavior on purpose and dropping “unnamed individuals” in the apology like it’s not fair he doesn’t know who it is. If that’s true, you wonder how long the list of ladies he’s asked to go to Grey Cup Orgies is.
I also like that he’s blaming naivete for his behavior. At the age of 46 especially working for a company like ROGERS, if you don’t know what’s fucked and what isn’t, you’re dumb. Every normal human being knows when they’ve crossed a line and if you don’t, you have anti-social issues and need a shrink and some meds.
ROGERS mandates all of its employees complete a comprehensive form every year on not being an HR nightmare and unless he’s a contractor, he’s filled one out.
Zaun insinuating ROGERS never approached him about the subject could be a significant issue for his former employer. If he can Prove they did know and did jack shit, this thing could end up being a severe kick in the balls for Sportsnet’s parent company.
Let’s hope no one finds out about his legendary pool parties.
Ski-doosh.
