Doug Ford doesn’t give a shit about the lives of Ontarians.  He says he does, but saying you care and showing you care is very different.

Global: Global News has learned the Ontario government is currently considering implementing a stay-at-home order and closing non-essential retail businesses provincewide in a bid to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Sources told Global News that under the plan still being considered late Tuesday, non-essential retail stores would be limited to curbside pickup.

Big-box stores, meanwhile, would be restricted to essential aisles only, marking a shift in policy from past lockdowns when the stores were allowed to sell non-essential items, much to the frustration of many small businesses. 

The stay-at-home order would likely be in place for a month, beginning Thursday when it would come into effect.

Schools are expected to remain open for in-person learning, other than in areas where local medical officers of health have ordered their closure.

That’s some remarkable shit right there.  Two weeks ago Doug Ford announced ‘Ontario Is Back’ when he announced the easing of province-wide Covid restrictions.  He said he was easing restrictions based on ‘all available scientific information’ and that it was in the ‘best interest of Ontario’s economy’.

HE did this, and here’s how we know.

Based on the non-biased scientific information available to the public, there’s no way we should have eased restrictions.  If Doug based his decision to open Ontario on science, he can’t fucking read, and neither can any of his medical staff.

This graph reps the spread of just 3 of 1500 new ‘Variants Of Concern’ (mutated versions of the virus).  when Doug announced in early March he was easing restrictions, he knew full well (as noted by the sweet-looking heart) VOC’s were starting to ramp up in young people especially.  But he opened it up anyway because he really needs votes and money if he’s going to win the next provincial election.

We went through the blame wheel during the show yesterday, and while the new stay at home order is 100% Doug’s fault, he shares all the blame with Justin Trudeau who gambled and lost in the global game of Vaccine Roulette, then lied some more when he told us Canada’s inability to secure vaccines was a ‘production issue’.  It wasn’t.  The Trudeau government wouldn’t pay what other front-of-the-line countries were willing to pay for their citizens, so were took our spot at the back of the vaccine bus with third world countries who were begging for vaccine handouts.

You have been lied to and let down in the name of political self-interest.  YOU lost your business and the lives of loved ones because our provincial and federal leaders chose politics, favor baiting, money, and power over YOU.

Ontario is dead-last in vaccinations per capita, with a third of the country’s population.

Fuck your political party.  Fuck right or left.  We have a serious political issue in this country that needs to be fixed.

You don’t swear an oath to protect your political interests and the financial interests of your friends when you take public office.  You swear an oath the protect the lives of the citizens who elected you to office.
