Linkin Parks Mike Shinoda Released a statement with the video.

“‘One More Light’ was written with the intention of sending love to those who lost someone. We now find ourselves on the receiving end,” Shinoda wrote. 

“In memorial events, art, videos, and images, fans all over the world have gravitated towards this song as their declaration of love and support for the band and the memory of our dear friend, Chester. We are so very grateful and can’t wait to see you again.”

Haunting, Beautifully appropriate.

Mike announce the band will be playing a show at the Hollywood Bowl in memory of Chester

This week Chesters wife Talinda release a video she recorded on vacation in Arizona with their family 36 hours before Chester took his own life.

I hope all these things point to the need for people struggling with depression to talk to someone they trust and seek help.  I also hope this serves as a reminder to those of us ready to shit on a neighbor or stranger for selfish reasons.  Much like Chester in this video, calm on the outside but there’s a storm inside no one knows is raging.
