I said it. Feel free to @ me. If you don’t agree, it’s because you’re wrong. It’s been three seasons since the Broncos won Super Bowl 50. And the key pieces to that Championship team are still in tact. Most importantly that defence.

That defence is still just one half-decent quarterback away from being a Super Bowl contender. Last season they were ranked 13th in points for. Which when you factor in how many times Case Keenum turned the ball over is incredible.

Linebackers, Von Miller and Bradley Chubb had a combined 26.5 sacks. As a whole the defence had 17 interceptions and 13 forced fumbles. So as long as the offence can control the clock and not turn the ball over, it should be easy to win games.

Insert Average, but consistent Joe Flacco. Don’t forget, Joe already knows how to win a Super Bowl with this game-plan. In 2012, Flacco won Super Bowl XLVII by not turning the ball over, handing the ball to his 1,000-yard rusher and letting his legendary defence do their thing.

With a legitimate quarterback the Broncos actually have a pretty decent offence. They have a good offensive line, a 1,000-yard rusher, and a stud wide-out. Flacco is as consistent as they come. He’s 96-67 as a starting quarterback with 38,245-yards, while throwing 212-touchdowns to 136-interceptions.

You’d be a fool not to take a Flacco lead Broncos seriously this season.
