“Burrowhead My Ass” It’s Time To Put Respect on Patrick Mahomes Name
For every no-look pass, unnatural arm angles, and diving throws, no Patrick Mahomes performance will be more impressive than what we saw in the Kansas City Chiefs AFC Championship victory against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Patrick Mahomes missed most of the second quarter of the Divisional Round when he injured his ankle and was forced to have x-rays and receive treatment. Leading up to the AFCCG everybody was on the Joe Burrow train. Mahomes was 0-3 against the 2020 first overall pick, including last season’s Conference Championship. As Burrow strutted around in his pink suit and Eli Apple trolled Buffalo Bills fans, Patrick Mahomes was listening to all of the noise.
Limping onto the field at “Burrowhead” Stadium, as it had been called all week. Andy Reid needed his quarterback to put on his gutsiest performance. It Wasn’t pretty by any means, and losing JuJu Smith-Schuster only complicated the situation. However, with 44-seconds remaining in a tied game, Patrick Mahomes showed why he’s already one of the legends of the game.

Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs were disrespected all week. Even in the aftermath, listening to all the “NFL is rigged” nonsense just shows you the jealousy that runs rampid amongst football fans. I’m a New England Patriots fan, believe me, I know how it goes. I remember when Patrick Mahomes was the wonder boy who was finally going to end Tom Brady and Bill Belichick’s stranglehold on the NFL. Now that he has, everybody wants to see him fall. Congratulations Chiefs Kingdom, you’re the new Evil Empire.
They heard it all.. and responded. Jones with the sack to give them the chance and Mahomes with the 1 run to set up the game winner. It’s still Arrowhead pic.twitter.com/B4DZckZ6Ni
