Squirrel!
It’s stupid. It’s desperate. It’s pathetic. Some (me) would even say it’s psychotic.
It’s the latest bullshit political “scandal.”
Because the Minister of Small Business, Rechie Valdez, posted this:
For this #FoodieFriday, we're trying out Lobster on the Wharf (@LobsterOTW), here in Charlottetown! We're gonna check out their amazing fresh seafood!
🦞 pic.twitter.com/LP25muKA16— Rechie Valdez (@rechievaldez) August 25, 2023
This happened:
The Minister of Small Business in hot water after her lobster lunch.
Rechie Valdez is being called tone-deaf for posting a video of herself eating lobster and oysters in P.E.I., in the middle of an affordability crisis.
Was the video a bad idea?

Plus the folks over at the sex-toy-selling yellow-rag Toronto Sun had to work through their emotions by writing about it:
Oh FFS.
Cons will literally freak out over anything.
Now Liberals aren't allowed to support small business or even eat food.
Fucking psychotic. https://t.co/I9SBCKyNNj

(Sorry for posting a link to the Toronto Sun. I wouldn’t click on it if I were you.)
This is, quite possibly, the dumbest distraction/bs “scandal” in Canadian history.
For more read here:
Of COURSE, the hypocrisy is the point. Because OF COURSE, there are examples of Conservatives doing the same damn thing.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper visited the same restaurant back in 2014:
Visited ‘Lobster on the Wharf’ in Charlottetown with @CPCGailShea earlier today. #cdnpoli @LobsterOTW pic.twitter.com/iACcDiu1Up
— Stephen Harper (@stephenharper) June 19, 2014
Oh, look! Minivan aficiando and former leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Andrew Scheer, also tweeted about visiting a restaurant and consuming food:
Grabbed a quick bite to eat with @RichardBragdon at Murray’s before driving over Nackawic. Thanks Murray’s for the great food! #NBPoli pic.twitter.com/o85dmF1H1x
— Andrew Scheer (@AndrewScheer) May 12, 2018
(Sorry for posting a picture of Andrew Scheer.)
Here we see Erin O’Toole, the third leader of the Conservative Party of Canada that Trudeau defeated, sitting inside a restaurant:
Great to eat local & talk local issues at the amazing @Bistro_67 at @durhamcollege with the strong Durham team of MPPs & MPs (& one who will be) #cdnpoli #onpoli pic.twitter.com/35zLtcvpFZ
— Erin O'Toole (@erinotoole) April 26, 2019
Even aspiring King Gatekeeper Pierre “Jeffery” Poilievre has also visited restaurants and consumed food:

UPDATE – Just wanted to add this for context:
"The seafood industry has an economic contribution of $938 million to the Island’s economy and a further $262 million in other provinces for a combined economic impact of $1.2 billion." -princedwardisland.ca #PEI https://t.co/Npa8BzwJlu

I say “hypocrisy is the point” because now we’re not talking about Harper and the Conservative Party of Canada’s close ties with Mike Roman who was recently indicted alongside Donald Trump.
Or Pierre Poilievre cheating to win the CPC leadership race by paying off the fake whistleblower’s lawyers.
Today in “Imagine If It Had Been Trudeau!” (But will barely make a blip in Canadian Media)
Again, Canadian media, do you ever ask yourselves why “#CdnmediaFailed” is constantly trending? Or do the vast majority of you just not care?
Stephen Harper is the chairman of the IDU.
His assistant chairman was Mike Roman, who is facing 7 charges in Georgia for his part in Trump's coup plans.
Why was Roman of the IDU involved?
Why is the Cdn media talking about speeding tickets & lobster rolls? https://t.co/LbsT1tQ1AF— G McThink ☮🏳️🌈 (@redsnoopy69) August 28, 2023
CPC = IDU Party of Canada
ReformaCons, not Conservatives. Mike Roman, Harper’s assistant IDU chairman’s indictment on RICO & 6 charges exposes the who pulling the strings behind the scenes. The biggest crime in U.S. history, big media will cover it. #CdnMediaFailed pic.twitter.com/Ushno2N2U6

So instead of those huge scandals, the former of which would be career-ending for a leader of any other party, we’re talking about Lobster Rolls.
Why is Canadian media trying to install Pierre “Jeffery” Poilievre as the next Prime Minister?
