Our first Canna Cast kicked off on a bang! I think things went well! Check out some of our pictures below, and to check out the Canna cast click here. Meet our guests, Angelina Blessed and Stephen Verbeek!

Meet Angelina Blessed

I remember when I first met Angelina Blessed, it was at the O’Cannabiz event. She just made the cover of High! Canada Magazine in July 2017. Her hair was purple back then and I think she had fewer tattoos! She was a Muay Thai fighter with a bake on for edibles. She was always cool as I have worked with her on a couple of occasions, always been a positive, fun and knowledgeable. So booking her for this podcast was a no brainer! Fast forward to today, and Angelina is a little bit wiser, a few more tattoos and perhaps matured, in taking Blessed Edibles to the next level. Angelina told me she had to learn a few things in business etiquette, like in boardroom; such as “maybe wearing pink socks to boardroom presentation with lawyers wasn’t such a good idea?” LOL!

Meet Stephen Verbeek

I first met Stephen Verbeek during an interview for Hello Cannabis in Hamilton. We came out to do a photo shoot and interview the whole team. Bunch of great people who are passionate about what they do. I remember while interviewing him, I thought “Holy shit, this guy’s life reads out like Dr Strange!” Admittedly, his ego was a bit much at times, and through hardships and tribulations, he has become a much better person for it. Today, Stephen is prepping to open one of Hamilton’s first legal dispensaries Hello Cannabis and continuing his campaign #goodbyeopiods

Cannabis Phil

It has been amazing to see the cannabis industry grow exponentially over a couple of years, to see this kind of growth is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I first started in the industry as a writer/photographer for High! Canada Magazine, interviewing some top people in the cannabis space. Eventually, I started doing content/video work, social media coverage of various cannabis events across North America, catching the pulse of what was going on and partaking in a quite a few sessions, meeting some truly amazing people on the way. In my previous enslavement (aka "career"), I was involved in the business side of things, so I do have an invested interest in the business aspect. Coming into my somewhat “village elder years”, I hope to bridge the gap between generations, in hopes of breaking the stigma and showing others it's okay to get high, while possibly showing them how. My passion for cannabis and writing covers; strain reviews, vapes, dabs, shatter, social media coverage of events, new products, patient advocacy, innovations and the business of cannabis.
