This week, Steve Easterbrook was fired as CEO of McDonald’s for banging someone who worked for him.

Source: McDonald’s chief executive officer has been pushed out of the company after violating company policy by engaging in a consensual relationship with an employee, the corporation said Sunday.

The fast food giant said former president and CEO Steve Easterbrook demonstrated poor judgment, and that McDonald’s forbids managers from having romantic relationships with direct or indirect subordinates.

In an email to employees, Easterbrook acknowledged he had a relationship with an employee and said it was a mistake.

Who gives a shit.

Unless he used his position to get a leg over in return for a promotion, this company rule of not being able to have sex with people you work with is total garbage.

Especially if I just forfeited 16 MIL in Salary and bonuses like Steve McBangsalot, here.

The bottom line is Steve’s divorced and he had sex with a consenting adult who he worked with.  That only happens ALL THE TIME and EVERYWHERE.  I imagine it’s dangerous at places like the CIA or The White House, but this is fucking MacDonald’s and I highly doubt the woman he’s porking is in the espionage dept at Burger King.

Plus, if you think about it from Steve’s perspective, McDonald’s has 40k stores and 210k employees worldwide and as long as his aim is true, why shouldn’t he be allowed to swim off one of the biggest piers in the world?  And who says Steve and Marnie aren’t wildly in love and Marnie cares not about Steve’s hundreds of millions of dollars and jet-set lifestyle.

Maybe they met over a cone or a Blizzard during a store visit or maybe she works in accounting down the hall from his office in Chicago when their eyes met over a spreadsheet and they have the kind of love you think exists when you get married but doesn’t really exist at all?

I think it’s BS Steve can’t have sex with employees.  I think all employers should be allowed to have consensual, responsible, reciprocal relationships with anyone they want.  As long as that employer doesn’t use his position to advance his sexual or professional interests I say bone on.  Get it in.  Got for a nice tapas dinner and do weird shit in the car if you’re both into it and you’re not crossing any lines.

lady Bosses, you too.  I want you on that relationship you want with Barry in IT or Lucy in Sales.  Be upfront and honest with your superiors and lay it on Front Street.

Anyone can get a job.  Not everyone finds true love.
