China Is Cracking Down On ‘Sissy Men,’ TV, Movies, Gaming And Make Up For Dudes Just In Time For The Winter Olympics

Sep 3, 2021

CTV: China’s government banned effeminate men on TV and told broadcasters Thursday to promote “revolutionary culture,” broadening a campaign to tighten control over business and society and enforce official morality.

President Xi Jinping has called for a “national rejuvenation,” with tighter Communist Party control of business, education, culture and religion. Companies and the public are under increasing pressure to align with its vision for a more powerful China and healthier society.

The party has reduced children’s access to online games and is trying to discourage what it sees as unhealthy attention to celebrities.

Broadcasters must “resolutely put an end to sissy men and other abnormal esthetics,” the National Radio and TV Administration said, using an insulting slang term for effeminate men — “niang pao,” or literally, “girlie guns.”

That reflects official concern that Chinese pop stars, influenced by the sleek, fashionable look of some South Korean and Japanese singers and actors, are failing to encourage China’s young men to be masculine enough.

Broadcasters should avoid promoting “vulgar internet celebrities” and admiration of wealth and celebrity, the regulator said. Instead, programs should “vigorously promote excellent Chinese traditional culture, revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture.”

Xi’s government also is tightening control over Chinese internet industries.

Rules that took effect Wednesday limit anyone under 18 to three hours per week of online games and prohibit play on school days.

WHOOOAAAAHHHHH!   It’s gonna be way harder to compare China to Canada after this.

It’s kind of hard to believe, really.  China is going to wipe gay representation or effeminate/gender-defying personalities from entertainment, period.   They want to present a masculine version of the country to the world and don’t mind if they persecute their entire LGBTQ community.

The crackdown on kids and video games is fucking hilarious too.  You can’t breathe the air in that shithole country yet they are forcing a billion gamers out of their houses into the smog nonetheless.  I don’t mean to negatively stereotype China but outside of the Japanese they spend more time behind a screen than ANY other country on the planet so imagine the withdrawal.

There are literally NO good reasons to travel to China. I’ve yet to see a brochure or commercial for a Chinese vacation that makes me wonder if I’m missing out on seeing the world’s most oppressed people in a country that looks like a Fallout map.

Yet, we’re still sending our winter Olympians there in a few months to contribute to the living genocide of that country because, sports.

Do you want to hear about my new nightmare?  A two-week all-inclusive vacation anywhere in China with noted anti-vaxxer/trailer park boss, Kelly Anne Wolf.

I’d seriously rather be a prisoner of war than spend 5 minutes alone with this woman and if I had to be punished for a series of lifelong crimes and was forced to vacation with her in China, I’d end it all before I had to board the flight to Beijing.

I think in terms of definitive statements when I’m totally fucking grossed out and going to China/Kelly Ann Wolf combo is the worst possible scenario I can think of.  Worse than death, actually.

The next time you feel oppressed by Canada’s vaccine mandates or your oppressively stupid partner, just remember how much worse it could be.  You could be on a flight to China with Kelly Ann while she hammers beers and bourbon while trying to light smoke in the lavatory because it’s her right to smoke.  Canada and your wife/GF don’t look so bad now, huh.
