Hellllloooooo weed-infused Coca-Cola products. My name is Dean and I’ve been waiting for you.
Leave it to Canada to change the negative, illegal paradigm around cannabis. Coke is the latest beverage company to partner with a Canadian cannabis corp to develop a line of cannabis-infused drinks ahead of legalization. Corona and Molson/Coors invested heavily in the weed industry in the past year but Coke is the first soft drink company to announce exploration of the space.
Coke plans on developing a line of products with CBD, not THC (the active ingredient that makes you eat cookies and play fortnite till you pass out) but that can’t be far behind either.
More importantly, Coke is looking to develop CBD-infused drinks. That's the cannabis-related chemical that aids with inflammation, pain and cramping. Those looking for a Coke-made beverage to get "high" will be sorely disappointed.
