Comeback SZN: The Raptors Destroy The Sixers In Game 5, It’s Officially Time For Philly To Hit The Panic Button And Here’s Why

Uh ohhhhhh. Not bueno Philadelphia.

That game wasn’t close. Joel Embiid’s thumb is falling off and he looked tired/shell of his former self. James Harden looked like playoff Harden.

The Raptors d looked in fine form and no one had any room to work. The Sixers had 88 points including not scoring for over 8 MINUTES in the 2nd quarter. The Raptors are down starter/All-Star Fred VanVleet and Scottie Barnes is injured. Yet someway, somehow they sent the Sixers fans to exits EARLY.

Yeesh. The boos were raining down in Philly at the start of the second quarter. All of these other reasons aside here is the biggest reason Philly is in serious trouble.

Peep Doc Rivers track record blowing leads. Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t.

2003: Magic vs. Pistons up 3-1

2009: Celtics vs Magic up 3-2

2010: Celtic vs Lakes up 3-2 in NBA Finals

2012: Celtics vs. Heat up 3-2

2015: Clippers vs. Rockets up 3-1

2016: Clippers vs. Portland up 2-0

2020: Clippers vs. Nuggets up 3-1

Let’s stop for one second. This is still a VERY tall task for the Toronto Raptors. The Sixers are still a VERY skilled team with a few game-breakers on their roster. If the Raptors want to be the first team to EVER come back from a 3-0 deficit they are going to have to D up and shut down Embiid.

We are a confident bunch. So confident in fact we made a t-shirt.
