The Crier sports division continues to expand their coverage as the network has been approved to cover the Toronto Raptors’ G-League affiliate Raptors 905 for the remainder of the 2023/2024 season.
Led by reporters Josh Elijah, Jesse McKay (Down By Two) and Griff B (YWC Football Talk), the Crier team looks to provide a unique perspective on the young talent being developed in the Raptors’ system. Look no further than former G-League products like Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet for shining examples of how the 905 has developed draft picks into today’s stars.

Highlighted by un-drafted talent Markquis Nowell and dynamic forward Javon Freeman-Liberty, this 905 squad has stumbled out of the gates with an 0-8 start to the season. Toronto’s first round pick Gradey Dick has also been assigned to the G-League as he’s gotten off to a slow start this season with the Raptors. Dick struggled in his first outing with the 905, only tallying 2 points going 0-6 from behind the arc against the Capitol City Go-Gos, (Washington Wizards G-League affiliate). Gradey bounced back with a 22 point performance against the Go-Go again in another losing effort.
While you can expect players to be moved up to the NBA roster or sent down to the G-League, there will be a lot to take away from a development standpoint with Crier’s on-going coverage of the Raptors 905. Not to mention, a great pre-cursor before the team heads down to Orlando to cover the red-hot Magic.
Coverage begins Friday, December 1st as the Raptors look to get in the win column against the Maine Celtics.
