Donald Glover continues to blow our minds with his Emmy Award Winning Show, Atlanta. In the latest episode, Glover throws us another bizarre and haunting turn.
Episode 6 entitled Teddy Perkins focus’ on Darius (Lakeith Stanfield) finding an ad online for a piano and heads to a creepy old mansion alone to pick up it up. There he runs into the piano seller Teddy Perkins. The character looked like a late-age Michael Jackson, in other words, like a black man bleached white. We later found out that Perkins was Donald Glover wearing whiteface, and his co-stars say Glover never dropped the character during filming. As if Atlanta wasn’t already one of the best shows period, Glover’s method acting gave us one more reason to love this show.
