Donnie Is Perfect This Week. Can He Go 16-0?? Don’s NFL Picks | Week 4

Well. That was rough.
But I take no blame what-so-ever. Week 3’s mediocre 8-8 record is no fault of my own. I picked the correct teams to win. Some how they fucked that up. Let me just give you a short list of teams that won this week: Jaguars, Bills, Bears, Colts, and Jets. Honestly. What in the actual fuck.
I can live with the Redskins, Vikings, and Panthers picks. The Vikings and Redskins are sneaky good, and the Panthers vs. Saints was a toss game anyway. So those I will admit to being wrong on. Those were legitimately my bad. But those other five? I refuse to count those officially. So technically, I’m 8-3.
Not bad.
What we learned
The NFL can sometimes be a shitshow
How the Jaguars, Bills, Bears, Colts, and Jets all won these games are beyond me. I’m convinced the Ravens were drugged on their layover to London. Joe Flacco went 8/18 for 28 yards and two interceptions. The Steelers got dismantled by Mike Glennon, who threw for a VERY underwhelming 101 yards.
The Bills made Denvers defence look amateur, and the Jets were on their way to an 0-16 season until the Dolphins decided to not show up for the game. Oh. And the Colts beat the Browns in the toilet bowl. Congratulations Indianapolis, you’re not the worst team in the league.
Jared Goff is the real deal
People are going to have to get over last season. Goff is a rookie no longer. I know it’s against the 49ers, but Goff went 22/28 for 292 yards and three touchdowns. That’s pretty freaking good. Not to mention he has a passer rating of 118.2. Don’t mistake these as the same old Rams. They’re going to give people problems.
The roar is back in Detroit
If I’m not mistaken I have picked against my Lions every week. Well I may have to start to reconsider, because the Lions are as legit as they come. They were inches away from beating the defending NFC Champions. Their defence is on pace to be one of the better squads in the game, and Stafford is showing people why Detroit paid all that money.
People might be racist
If we’re discussing Week 3, we have to talk about the elephant in the room. People are outraged that the NFL came together to take a knee, and show their disapproval for Trumps public attack of the NFL. I don’t get it. The outrage makes no sense to me. It’s quite clear to me that this protest isn’t about the flag, or the military. It’s about equality, and the injustices that the black community have suffered in unarmed shootings.
If you’re against a peaceful protest that’s in favour of equality then you’re a douche, and potentially a racist. What does it matter if the players stand or not during the anthem? Literally half of the people in the stadium are standing in line for beer, not the anthem. The anthem is honestly the worst part of going to a sporting that most people ignore. So why are the players the only people who should be held responsible for “respecting the flag”.
It’s bullshit.

Games to watch
Lions vs. Vikings
Even with two back up quarterbacks the Vikings have looked impressive. Although they have home field advantage, this is still a quarterback league and no one is playing more impressive than Matthew Stafford. He’s thrown seven touchdowns to just one interception, and has a quarterback rating over 100. I’m taking my Lions to edge out a victory on the road and stay in contention for the top spot in the NFC North.
Steelers vs. Ravens
These have always been great games. Both teams are coming off pitiful losses. So you know they’re going to be ready to smash someones head in. I’m being honest here. I’m strictly basing this game off of last week, and the Steelers were at least competitive. Joe Flacco’s embarrassing 28 yard performance has me worried, and rightfully so. I’m gonna go with another road pick with a Steelers win.
Rams vs. Cowboys
This game will tell us who the Rams are. They’ve done really well against below average teams, but haven’t played any legitimate squads. The Cowboys are a real threat for the playoffs. Although I expect the Cowboys to win, I am interested to see how the Rams play. We’ll know whether or not the Rams are the real deal after this game. I think we’ll see a far better game than most expect.
Raiders vs. Broncos
Again. Both teams are coming off losses and have something to prove. The Raiders had an off night in Washington, but are nowhere near as bad as they played. The same goes for the Broncos in Buffalo. Denvers defence is as good as they come. They’re also playing at home, and no one wins more at home than the Denver Broncos organization. Expect fireworks and a Broncos W at home.
