Elon Musk’s “Salute” at Trump’s INSANE Inauguration: What The F*** Just Happened?

Jan 20, 2025

If you thought Elon was weird before today, he went for “Weird Guy Broke” at Trump’s Inauguration.

Elon at the Inauguration: A Front-Row Spectacle

Musk attended the inauguration as Trump’s newly appointed Director of Government Efficiency and stole the weird guy show with some nerdy thumbs-ups, losing it like a WWF wrestler and rocking the “Heil Hitler Salute.”  Not once, but twice. The

Generally speaking, NAZI salutes are looked down upon.

They have been for 85 years.

During a moment of applause, cameras caught Musk’s arm raised in what some interpreted as a Nazi salute. The internet, predictably, exploded. Twitter was flooded with clips of the moment, alongside hashtags like #MuskSalute and #ElonExplainsThis.

Musk’s representatives responded quickly, calling it “a moment of miscommunication.” According to them, Elon was mid-wave, and the angle was unfortunate. LOL.

“He was Mid-Wave!! We Swear.”

For his part, Musk hasn’t addressed it directly—though his cryptic tweet that read, “Sometimes a wave is just a wave,” hasn’t exactly put the issue to rest because this wasn’t a wave. Or a “Roman Salute” or whatever the fuck Elon or Elon Stan’s want to call it.

Thumbs Up for Mars

If the salute stirred controversy, Musk’s reaction to Trump’s speech about planting an American flag on Mars seemed to steal the show. As Trump vowed to make the Red Planet “America’s next frontier,” Musk gave a giant thumbs-up, grinning ear to ear. This was classic Elon: the visionary billionaire hyped about humanity’s cosmic future.

For Musk fans, this was a moment of redemption. Amidst the other eyebrow-raising moments, it reminded us why we admire him: his relentless belief in what’s possible. Love him or hate him, Musk’s passion for space exploration is undeniably infectious.

The Department of Government Efficiency: A Blank Check?

Musk’s new role as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency comes with significant power. Insiders suggest he may have unfettered access to government funds to overhaul systems, implement tech-driven solutions, and—according to skeptics—possibly funnel resources into pet projects.

Critics argue that giving Musk such broad financial freedom is risky. However, supporters claim his track record of innovation justifies the trust. “If anyone can drag the government into the 21st century, it’s Elon,” said one attendee. But with today’s antics, some are beginning to wonder if his appointment was nothing more than Trump giving a drug-addled dickhead with a messianic complex WAY too much power.

Fans Weigh In

Elon Musk fans have had mixed reactions to today’s events. On one hand, they’re defending him against the allegations of a Nazi salute, calling it a baseless smear campaign. On the other, some are scratching their heads at his increasingly erratic public behavior. “Elon is Elon,” wrote one fan on Reddit. “He’s not perfect, but he’s still the guy who wants to get us to Mars.”

Others are less forgiving. “I’ve always supported Elon,” tweeted a longtime Tesla owner, “but this…this is hard to watch.”

Nazi Salutes during Presidential Inaugurations usually are.

What’s Next?

More fascism, some immigrant internment camps, deporting American children along with their illegal parents, stealing from the government coffers to fund his vision to go to Mars! You know, straight-up fascism and all the power in the hands of a dude who grew up idolizing Hitler.  Unpredictability is part of the package with Musk, but today was pretty predictable – and I don’t know many sportsbooks that had odds on Elon crushing a Nazi Salute on National Television, celebrating Trump’s ascent to the President’s office. . Whether he’s tweeting memes or sending rockets into space, he’s constantly pushing boundaries—for better or worse. Today’s inauguration was no different. Love or hate him, Musk remains a polarizing figure who’s a tiny mustache away from making America Germany Again.

Is Musk still the visionary leader who will take humanity to the stars, or is he just plain fucked in the head with visions of creating the fifth reich in North America? One thing’s for sure—when Elon Musk is in the room, it’s probably a Nazi dinner party…
