It’s done and was planned this entire time.

The team wanted the dust to settle and now it has, John Tavares will become the 22nd captain in Leaf history.

Let’s face it, John Tavares Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs sounds pretty fucking awesome and would’ve blown our minds to hear before last year.

Tavares was Captain in New York for 5 years before choosing Toronto and then leading the team in goal scoring. How is there any doubt that Toronto native Tavares should be the Captain????

There you go.  not one person will argue with the chain of command.  Not to mention Tavares is signed through 2055.

Matthews gets a few years to grow up and Marner pulls himself away from certain people.  Reilly gets to be the C in training and if I cared this blog would be longer.
