I kind of love this rule, because I don’t make a shitload of money. Could you imagine if this was the case in Canada? It would be hilarious. It makes sense if you really think about it because most people who speed generally are driving really expensive cars that go fast. In order to pay for said car you need to make more money. Therefore you get charged more for driving like an asshat. Bucket and book it.
However, there is a downside to the rule and I am curious as to how it works.
What happens if you’re unemployed? Is there a minimum fine regardless, or can people just sit on their asses, collect welfare checks, and speed free of charge?
Perhaps. In any case, this law is awesome and we need to bring it to Canada.
