Wow. NASA either captured this picture of a supermassive black hole for the first time ever or it’s a microscopic slide of ringworm.
3 years ago MIT grad student Katie Bouman led the creation of a new algorithm to produce the first-ever image of a black hole.
Today, that image was released.

Here it is. Scientists have captured the first ever image of a black hole. The image shows luminous gas swirling around a supermassive black hole at the center of M87, a galaxy 54 million light years away. #EHTBlackHole https://t.co/SS3pIhPoT2 pic.twitter.com/nzozuLpHMz

Sucks to be the alien life form in the Galaxy of M87, 54 million light years away.
We kinda have to believe NASA because my binoculars don’t work as well as their fancy telescopes. This kind of scientific evidence would never hold up in court. It looks like the same guy in charge of taking the Black Hole Picture was the same guy who took that world famous Bigfoot shot.
I still laugh when I see this Bigfoot pic and the Video. It’s clearly some dude in a gorilla suit and in the clean picture, you can see a horizontal cut out for his eyes.
Mitch Hedberg’s (RIP) take on Bigfoot comes to mind when I look at the black hole pic too:
Anyway, for a world first, I expected a better picture.
