Former Rebel News Employee Details Being Recruited By Russia (RT), The Same Day Canada’s Supreme Court Called Rebel “Fake News”

It’s been a BAD week for one of the most prominent purveyors of online rage porn and disinformation in the world.

The Rebel News Saga: A Threat to Democracy Unmasked

In a stunning turn of events, Rebel News, one of the most notorious purveyors of online rage and disinformation, has been dealt a significant blow by the Canadian government and its highest court.

The CRA’s Damning Verdict

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) recently delivered a scathing assessment of Rebel News, stating unequivocally, “You’re not news; you’re an activist platform, and less than 1% of your content is original news.” This conclusion came after a thorough audit of Rebel’s content, revealing that the vast majority of their output is paid activism designed to extract donations from their audience

The decision comes in the wake of a years-long effort by Ezra to get tax breaks for all that sweet, sweet, untraceable “donation” money he takes in from around the world for nuclear profit taking. The CRA audited three weeks of “News” (given to them by Ezra and Rebel Staff) as part of Rebel’s tax designation application. They noted that Rebel’s content comprises less than 1% “news” or “original content,” and the other 99% is just skeevy paid activism meant to extract money from readers and users through donations – which is somehow legal in Canada.

Ezra didn’t like that because that meant he was denied “Media Designation Status,” So he took it to the Supreme Court, and they promptly told him to fuck right off. In the decision, the presiding Justice held up the CRA’s audit as fact-based and Rebel’s appeal as bullshit.

After Canada laughed him out of our highest court, Ezra did what Ezra does —he lied and turned that lie into a fundraiser.

The lie?

– Supreme Court and CRA determined Rebel News to be a bullshit activist platform. Not Trudeau.

– Ezra isn’t suing Trudeau; he’s suing the Attorney general of Canada

– There’s no such thing as a “News License” in Canada. LOLZ.

– He’s never been censored but should be investigated ASAP.

Inside the Disinformation Machine

Former Rebel News employee Caolan Robertson provided explosive insights into the organization’s inner workings. He revealed shocking details about:

  1. Rebel’s strategy for targeting specific “tribes” with tailored content to maximize donations
  2. Suspicious fundraising networks from various parts of the world
  3. Alleged connections to Russian propaganda efforts

Caolan is a filmmaker, journalist, and war correspondent in Ukraine who hails from the UK. I wanted to know if Rebel ever produced news for the sake of news or if they were just disinformation.

Caolan rose to prominence after appearing on CNN to give us a look inside Rebel News’s “Strategy, ” which involves creating and misrepresenting news for massive profit.

I wanted to know MORE about his time with Rebel, and he didn’t disappoint.

Caolan described his experience, which started with being recruited by other Rebel News personalities, Tommy Robinson and Milo Yiannopolou, in the UK.

He also detailed a bizarre meeting with Ezra where Ezra ‘pitched Caolon on how he would help Ezra and Rebel News separate. Special “tribes” from their money using Rebel’s Nation Builder app and delivering bullshit content to those tribes to activate them into donating enormous sums of money based on engineered narratives.

Caolan also detailed running a fundraiser for Tommy Robinson and the “questionable” financial networks who poured money into Rebel News UK’s Tommy Robinson fundraiser around migrants and immigrants – a favorite Russian talking point. It’s also the first story about RT’s physical recruitment of “assets.”

Speaking of Russia, Caolan’s time at Rebel is prescient. He has first-hand knowledge of Rebel/Tenet media employees getting paid enormous sums of money to spread pro-Russian disinformation as part of the DOJ’s bombshell RT/Russian interference, and that’s what has Ezra losing his mind today.

Ezra’s Response To Caolan

To Ezra’s credit, he unblocked me and responded after previous attempts to contact him went unanswered.

Ezra went “lawyer speak,” denying taking money from foreign governments. Caolan said “foreign sources,” not government.

I’ve invited him to respond on the show but haven’t heard back.

Why Russian Disinformation, RT, and Rebel’s Legal/Tax Trouble Matters

Outlets and crisis actors like Rebel News pose significant threats to democracy and national security in countries like Canada, the UK, the US, and Australia for several key reasons:

  • These outlets deliberately spread false or misleading information (for profit) that undermines public confidence in democratic processes, institutions, and elected officials. By sowing doubt about the integrity of elections, government agencies, and mainstream media, they weaken the foundations of democratic societies. Deeming them “media” in any capacity threatens national security.
  • Disinformation often targets and exacerbates existing social, political, and cultural divisions within a population. This increased polarization makes it more difficult for democracies to function effectively and reach consensus on important issues.
  • These outlets can shape public perception of key issues by spreading false narratives and conspiracy theories, potentially influencing voting behavior and policy decisions. This manipulation undermines citizens’ ability to make informed choices in democratic processes. Their lack of financial transparency, combined with their global reach, is a worldwide concern.
  • Foreign actors may use these outlets to interfere in elections by spreading disinformation about candidates or voting procedures or amplifying divisive content to influence voter behavior.
  • In some cases, disinformation can lead to real-world violence or threats to public safety, as seen in cases where conspiracy theories have motivated extremist actions.
  • These outlets can weaken a country’s ability to respond effectively to genuine threats by eroding public trust in government institutions and promoting false narratives about national security issues.   • Hostile state actors may use or support these disinformation outlets to advance their geopolitical interests, undermining the target country’s sovereignty and national interests. While I don’t have any first-hand evidence that Rebel works with foreign adversaries, their messaging certainly gets amplified by many of them, including Russia and the Conservative Party of Canada.

Rebel and other outlets like Rebel are bad for your health. They lie and misrepresent things for financial benefit. They destroy faith in democracy while profiting off of algorithmic anger while hiding behind “Free Speech” and “Censorship” to do it.  H  and WHY they benefit from what they do is the real question.
