GAME DAY REPORT: GAME 33- MAPLE LEAFS @ MINNESOTA WILD
Toronto Maple Leafs (20-11-1) @ Minnesota Wild (16-11-3)
8:00PM EST SNO
Be forewarned. This is a Sportsnet affair so you will likely want to puke listening to either Hughson/Simpson or Romanuk/Millen. Do yourself a favour and stream the game. Stream Fan 590 or TSN 1050 (whichever has the game tonight) via TuneIn Radio. Sync both feeds and voila you have Joey Bones calling your game. Much more enjoyable.
Tonight our mighty Maple leafs take to the ice in Minny to take on the Wild. Looks like a semi fair trade off with the Leafs missing Auston Matthews and the Wild short one Devan Dubnyk.
The matchup stacks two fairly even teams against one another as both teams rank 5th and 6th on the PP and 12th and 13th on the PK.
Toronto has a strong road record to match up with the Wilds strong home game. Both teams have fared well over their last 10 game segment.
Advantages in the matchup in Toronto’s favour will be their slightly higher GF/G, slightly lower GA/G.The Leafs higher Shots/GP combined with Minny’s lower Shots/GP and equally poor to the Leafs SA/GP would also seem to be in the Bud’s favour.
Toronto takes a slight advantage in the dot as well with 51.29% to the Wilds 49.91% FOW%. If you believe in that sort of stuff…
;D
