I have never been the biggest fan of Vans shoes. That being said, you can find some gems, and I really like the Skate Half Cab Shoe.

The shoe was clearly made for skaters, but for looking for something different in their closet, the Skate Half Cab offers up a cool look when you want to go a little more grungy. Vans is selling this shoe for $110, and that’s not a bad price. The shoe has a bit of an old school look

and I think there’s a lot of cool looks you could pull off. 

For this look I decided to go with grey pants. I chose the Men’s Strech Skinny Slim Fit Grey Denim Jeans from temu.com

I think the faded grey compliments the tough look of the Vans really well. For this outfit you don’t have to go with skinny jeans, however I would suggest going no bigger than a straight leg slim fit that tapers at the bottom. Remember, when I put an outfit together the shoe is the star. So, it’s important to take everything I say with a grain of salt. If you want your shirt, hat, or pants, to be the star of the show, you have more options with your clothes. If the shoe is an accent, make sure they work with the outfit. 

I had a tough time finding the top I was looking for to match this outfit, and it’s kind of stupid because I was looking for a black button down. But, I finally found what I was looking for from Levis. I chose the BARSTOW WESTERN DENIM SHIRT

I am 100% matching this shirt with a white t-shirt.

You could try to go grey, but I really think the white will help blend with Vans. Like always, you’re going to wear the shirt unbuttoned and sleeves rolled up. I would probably have my chain on the outside, and I’m more than likely sporting a black watch or a black leather bracelet. This may also be one out those outfit that I opt to wear a ball cap. Ideally, I’d go with a black and grey cap, Straight brim, and I’m wearing it backwards with a slight tilt to the right. 

This was a good exercise for me, just because you normally don’t buy shoes or clothes from a particular brand, it doesn’t mean you can’t find some hidden gems that you’ll absolutely love
