Goalie Goal – Leafs Prospect And World Junior Hopeful, Ian Scott, Takes Matters Into His Own Hands
Source: Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Ian Scott scored an empty-net goal in the final minute of play on Friday, November 16, 2018 to secure a 3-1 win for the Prince Albert Raiders against the Tri-City Americans at the Art Hauser Centre in Prince Albert, Sask.
Scott’s goal is the first by a WHL goaltender since Edmonton Oilers prospect Stuart Skinner, who scored into an empty net against the Red Deer Rebels on March 18, 2016.
Freddie almost buried one a few weeks ago, and after Ian Scott gets named to the World Junior camp, a gig he will likely win, he goes the length of the ice to pot one!
Check out these numbers:
If #Leafs fans weren't aware, goaltending prospect Ian Scott (110th overall in 2017) is having a ridiculous season for @PARaidersHockey with a 15-1-0 record, 1.50 GAA & .946 SV%.
P.A. is ridiculously good & he's only facing about 28 shots a game, but those numbers are nuts— Nathan Kanter (@NathanKanter11) November 15, 2018
