SALFORD CITY goalkeeper Max Crocombe was shown a red card for URINATING during the 2-1 win against Bradford Park Avenue – and has since been reported to the police.

The bizarre incident happened in the closing stages of a Vanarama National League North clash at Horsfall Stadium, putting a dampener on the Class of 92’s side’s victory.

Bradford Park tweeted: “86′ – RED CARD! This is bizarre. Salford goalkeeper Max Crocombe has been dismissed and no one knows why…”

While Salford said: “88: Red Card! Crocombe see red for something off the ball. No one has a clue what has happened. 1-2.”

But in a follow up message, Bradford Park revealed the true reason why he was sent off, as they said: “87′ – We can confirm that Crocombe has been sent off for urinating during the game. We are not joking. #greenarmy (1-2).”

The keeper posted a screenshot of his apology on Twitter.

It read: “I’d like to sincerely apologise for the incident today.

“I was in a very uncomfortable position and made an error in judgement which spoiled a great win.

“My intention was never to offend anyone and I’d like to apologise to both clubs and both sets of supporters and it won’t happen again.”

On top of that it was reported that one supporter among the 533-strong crowd reported Crocombe to police.

The 24-year-old only joined Salford City back in May, and will now face a suspension for the act.

A suspension and reported to Police? What the fuck….why?

This one is a new one though. We have heard of “tying your shoe” in the Fairways, but never have we seen a Goalkeeper lean on the post and take a whizz.
