The trial was four years in the making, and it took a month to come up with sentencing because the Ottawa woman’s details of Hoggard’s assault were that disgusting.

Jacob Hoggard being sentenced to 5 years for sexual assault sounds like a slap on the wrist to a lot of people but it's one of the most serious sentences I've seen in my career.

If there are two victims, there are probably dozens.

Hoggard’s sentence reflected that, and Justice Gillian Roberts said she believed every ounce of the victim’s story.  She sentenced Hoggard to 5 long years, and Hoggard is in chains waiting for a bail review.

I can’t imagine he gets bail based on his getting sentenced to 5 years for raping a woman. He’s waiting for another sexual assault rape trial as well –  let’s hope that plays in his bail hearing, so Jakie Boy gets to hold some pockets for an extended period.

Hoggard isn’t going to fare well in jail at 5’5 with all that facial hair.
