Here Are Your Best Bets For CFL Week 8

Griff Bordignon Jul 24, 2024

0-4, I’m sorry, I failed you all and lost you money, this week we get our get back and win money.

Montreal VS Saskatchewan

Oof this game is a tough one, no Trevor Harris, no Cody Fajardo, no Aj Ouellette among other players out for this contest. This game a month ago could have been billed as a potential Grey Cup preview has taken a turn as we get backup quarterback vs backup quarterback with not much fanfare attached to this game but hey, a game is a game and we still have a bet to place. that is why when I look at this game, I’m taking U48.5 at -110. Both teams can’t score and will surely be a defensive battle.

Fun Bet: Shea Patterson U 233.5 Yds at -114.

Ottawa VS Calgary

Friday night takes us to the Nations Capital where Ottawa has won two in a row and is one game back of the first place Montreal Alouettes, however the one knock on them is there 4 wins are against teams who at game time had 0 wins. Now enter Calgary, the team who managed to knock off the league’s best in BC last weekend in a game where neither team seemed to want to win the game. Now at 3-3 and before a home and home with Toronto, we need to find out who these Stamps are, However, I think the Stamps do as they’ve done in the past and have a letdown spot here, besides Ottawa ML at +102 is too good to pass up on.

Fun Bet: Dominique Rhymes O 51.5 Rec Yds at -114.

Toronto VS Winnipeg

This is the true definition of a crossroads game for both teams, Toronto is coming off a loss to last place Hamilton and has QB questions with Cameron Dukes and Winnipeg is showing that this dog can’t be taught new tricks as they sit at 2-5 and have two games before the team’s bye week. My belief in Winnipeg has withered and they need to do some catching up especially since 2-6 can be a near death sentence to miss their first Grey Cup since 2018. Now to the game, I am sticking with Toronto because I’m trusting Ryan Dinwiddie to steer the Boatman in the right direction before the aforementioned home and home with Calgary. Toronto ML at -111.

Fun Bet: Ka’Deem Carey O 69.5 Rsh Yds at -114.

Edmonton VS Hamilton

The literal toilet bowl, 0-6 vs 1-5. Hamilton showed us last week that when they play tough and aggressive they can win. They impressed me last Saturday as they beat rivals Toronto at home. Now Edmonton, not even a head coaching bump helepd them as these Elks look like the Chris Jones Elks once again. This game like Thursday is dull, but when you look at hte betting lines, you’ll notice one thing, the team who has won a football game is an underdog. So, like two weeks ago and hopefully they don’t burn me in Alberta again but I am going with Hamilton ML at +136 as my lock of the week.

Fun Bet: Bo Levi Mitchell O 1.5 TD’s at -188.

I know 3 ML bets but hey, someone’s gotta win right.

Happy Betting.

Hi, my name is Griff and I'm a complete sports nut. I love to play sports, watch sports and most importantly bet on sports too. If I'm not watching or betting on sports, you can find me on the golf course, between the pipes as your average beer league goaltender. Although sports take up most of my life, I also love spending time with my two dogs, streaming usually a 90's Simpson's or attempting to read more books.
