The Moneymakers: Our Top CFL Week 3 Bets to Cash In On
Another solid week and another 3-1 result, so 6-2 on the year, let’s not prolong week 3 any longer, let’s win some money.
Montreal VS Ottawa
Last week, Montreal was the lock of the week and lost the spread by 1.5 points as they only won by three points. This week, they host Ottawa in the team home opener, the banner raising for last year’s Grey Cup win as well. I want to keep this short and sweet as possible, last year Montreal swept Ottawa in all 3 games the two played against each other winning by 7 and 26 points in both meetings at Molson Stadium and last week Ottawa took advantage of an undermanned Winnipeg squad. Once again I am running it back and making Montreal -6.5 at -115 my Lock of the week.
Fun bet: Cody Fajardo O 275.5 Yds -114.
Winnipeg VS BC
The 2023 West Final rematch has BC going to Winnipeg to take on the Bombers, a Friday night clash for the ages as these are two teams that are looking to improve on last week and a side that is looking to avoid 0-3. In my heart of hearts, I think BC can win this game, they need this game as much as Winnipeg does as they want to show the CFL world, hey we can beat Winnipeg in Winnipeg like we did last year. Plot twist, I think Winnipeg avoids 0-3 and gets right here. Winnipeg ML -134.
Fun bet: Vernon Adams JR ATD +160.
Toronto VS Edmonton
Coming off the bye week, Toronto looked good and very good at that beating BC in a thriller by the lake. Edmonton meanwhile has been proven to make mistake after mistake in two straight games to have them at 0-2, this is a game where a few Elks have a few things to prove to the CFL and Argonauts as many Elks are making their return to the 6. I do think Toronto will win this game but that’s an easy bet and I want a challenge, a sweat if you will and thats why, I will take Toronto Edmonton O 49.5 at -110 for the game bet.
Fun bet: Kurleigh Gittens Jr ATD +135.
Saskatchewan VS Hamilton
Another Sunday and a rematch of the Tiger-Cats and Riders, however this time it’s in the prairies, watermelon country. Last week, Hamilton had some miscues and mistakes and now they are 0-2 and starting 0-3 in the face, for the Riders, it’s the home opener, and the fans will be out in full force as the Riders are 2-0 and looking good with Corey Mace at the helm. Last week I took the over in this game and I won’t be taking that bet again as maybe it hits and maybe it doesn’t. That is why for this week, until proven wrong I will fade Hamilton and take Saskatchewan ML -134.
Fun Bet: Aj Ouellette O 57.5 Rush Yds -114.
Griff Bordignon
Hi, my name is Griff and I'm a complete sports nut. I love to play sports, watch sports and most importantly bet on sports too. If I'm not watching or betting on sports, you can find me on the golf course, between the pipes as your average beer league goaltender. Although sports take up most of my life, I also love spending time with my two dogs, streaming usually a 90's Simpson's or attempting to read more books.
