Well, another 3-1 week in the books, and now we are 9-3 on the season, let’s march on to end June on a high note, shall we?

BC VS Edmonton

This is a game where it should be fairly one-sided. After all 2/3 meetings last year, BC outscored Edmonton 49-0, to start 2024, BC has bounced back nicely after losing to Toronto in week 1, they have won two straight against Calgary and at Winnipeg and look back on the track of potentially going to the Grey Cup in their home stadium. Edmonton on the other hand, has once again started their season 0-3. Self-inflicted wounds and mistakes have cost the Elks to start the year and I think that not only do they go to 0-4 on the year, I think they lose badly in this one. BC -7.5 at -110 is my pick for this game.

Toronto VS Montreal

I will be here for this game and we’ve got a doozy down at BMO Field on this Friday night of the Canada Day long weekend, a rematch of last year’s East Final where Montreal embarrassed Toronto at home 38-17. Both teams are off to dynamite starts to their respective 2024 seasons, as Toronto is 2-0 and Montreal is 3-0. I expect a great game on Friday night and Montreal is favored in this one. However, as an underdog, Toronto always rises, they will be ready for this one as they look to serve a dish of revenge, plus Toronto hasn’t lost at BMO Field in the regular season since October 29, 2022, versus Montreal. I think Toronto will get it done and go to 3-0. Toronto ML +140.

Calgary VS Winnipeg

We have a game with a case of identity crisis in Cowtown on Saturday night. On one side you have Winnipeg who doesn’t look like themselves, who are 0-3 and banged up severely and you have the Stampeders who the rest of the league wants to know, what exactly will you be or become in the year 2024? This game should be a doozy as both teams look to leave a lot out on the field under a warm Calgary summer night. With that being said and done, I have a pick in this game, I am not fully confident in it, but I like it for some reason and you know what they say in betting, follow your gut. O 47.5 -110 for the game bet.

Ottawa VS Hamilton

Canada Day weekend ends in our Nation’s Capital. Two teams lost last week one that is on the brink of embarrassment and the other looking to bounce back after an embarrassing loss of their own against Montreal. This is a game where I feel like in Calgary VS Winnipeg a win can go a long way in turning a team’s momentum and direction around for the 2024 season. Once again it is 0-3 versus 1-1, With this game it could bite me but Ottawa seems to have a new attitude and seemingly with the new group can leave the past in the past and with Hamilton it’s the same thing week in and week out. Ottawa ML -115.
