Hello, people of Crier, this is Griff back to more NFL betting as we head into week 3 of the NFL season. Last week we were so close to another Parlay smacking but the Chicago Bears couldn’t cover the +2.5, thus a 5-1 record of betting to start the 2023 NFL season.
Our first pick of the weekend takes us to the land of 10,000 lakes and the 0-2 Minnesota Vikings hosting the 0-2 Los Angeles Chargers. Both teams are off to surprising starts, in a bad way, Justin Jefferson doesn’t have a TD on the year. Both teams are looking for a win to turn their season around, so let’s get crazy and let’s get nuts and take the over of 54.5 points for our first leg of the parlay.
Second, we head down south to Duval County. Where the Jacksonville Jaguars host the lowly Houston Texans. Even though they’re 0-2 and i don’t know if they will win the game, I love the Texans to cover +8 on the point spread. Houston is an up-and-coming team, playing with nothing to lose oh and fun little nerd nugget, they haven’t even lost to Jacksonville in Jacksonville since 2017, so let’s ride the Texans and the +8 point spread.
Last game of the parlay brings us up to the Motor City and back to the NFC North. The Detroit Lions host the Atlanta Falcons. Last week Detroit fell short in OT to Seattle and Atlanta is off to a surprising 2-0 start. I think this is where the Falcons get grounded and the Lions get that first home win of the season, ahead of a NFC North clash in Lambeau this coming Thursday. Lions ML is the bet.
Now let’s hope the NFC North doesn’t break my heart again, cough cough Chicago.
This parlay is on ScoreBet at +499 meaning $100 wins you $499. Enjoy and Happy Betting.

Hi, my name is Griff and I'm a complete sports nut. I love to play sports, watch sports and most importantly bet on sports too. If I'm not watching or betting on sports, you can find me on the golf course, between the pipes as your average beer league goaltender. Although sports take up most of my life, I also love spending time with my two dogs, streaming usually a 90's Simpson's or attempting to read more books.
