Here’s why Halle Berry is the Baddest Woman on the Planet!

Halle Berry has come a long way since “Catwoman”!

The significance of that movie is that she did not do any of her stunts back then. Her stunt double also turned out to be a guy, which I was taken back because you would think they would have found her a female stunt double? Which is why up until now, she was never really considered a hardcore action hero type, well at least not like this.

John Wick 3

Fast forward to today and Halle Berry is a completely different person. At 53, she just went through several months of intense “John Wick” training. And now does all of her own stunts on John Wick 3! She is a certifiable Bad Ass.

If you haven’t seen John Wick 3,  it is a must. The action is intense from the first 5 minutes and is non-stop throughout. And is it really necessary too to shoot a guy 16 times in the head? Well yes, after all, it’s John Wick! The overkill scenes are a signature part of the John Wick franchise along with its edgy and stylish originality!

While there were a lot of outstanding things about this film the highlight for me was the fight scenes as they were all innovative. When is the last time you saw an action movie incorporate horses and dogs into the actual fight scene? The fight scene in the New York city stables was insane! One of the most original, as I have never seen horse used as a weapon, like this?

Why is Halle Berry the Baddest Woman on the Planet?
Simply put, Halle Berry is a Triple Threat!
  1. She’s a Shooter!

2.  She’s a Killer!

3. She Loves Dogs!

And after all, who doesn’t love dogs? Because I am pretty sure that on a whole other level between Keanu and the director Chad Stahelski, who by the way is also a stuntman, made this movie for dog lovers, by dog lovers, and the underlying message here is “Don’t fuck with people who love dogs. and for the love of God, DON’T fuck with their dog!”

Sophia’s Character

Halle Berry’s character storyline as Sophia is intriguing? Wouldn’t you like to know how John and Sophia met? And how many people they had to waste in order to save her daughter? Sounds like a pretty solid movie pre-quell? I think she did a stellar job in this movie and stole the show. Believe me, that’s not an easy thing, with this star-studded cast with the likes of Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, and Lawrence Fishburne!

He’s the Bad Guy! (Queue the music!)

Is that the guy from Iron Chef America? Why yes it is! That was Mark Dacascos the host from Iron Chef America. He has a pretty good sense of humor on Iron Chef, and he was hilarious throughout John Wick 3. I have seen him before in some B movies, but I think he may have found his niche in comedy martial arts. Not to mention he does have a background in martial arts as well as cooking. This guy makes being the bad guy fun.

So, if you haven’t seen John Wick 3 yet, what are you waiting for? Light it up and watch John Wick 3!

Coming Soon … Matrix 4!

John Wick 3 was the first time since Laurence Fishburne and Keanu Reeves have been in the same movie since The Matrix! Ironically, this may be the first of many times that we see this duo on the big screen, as they just inked a deal to start shooting Matrix 4, Laurence Fishburne hasn’t signed on as of yet, as filming is slated for next year.

Cannabis Phil

It has been amazing to see the cannabis industry grow exponentially over a couple of years, to see this kind of growth is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I first started in the industry as a writer/photographer for High! Canada Magazine, interviewing some top people in the cannabis space. Eventually, I started doing content/video work, social media coverage of various cannabis events across North America, catching the pulse of what was going on and partaking in a quite a few sessions, meeting some truly amazing people on the way. In my previous enslavement (aka "career"), I was involved in the business side of things, so I do have an invested interest in the business aspect. Coming into my somewhat “village elder years”, I hope to bridge the gap between generations, in hopes of breaking the stigma and showing others it's okay to get high, while possibly showing them how. My passion for cannabis and writing covers; strain reviews, vapes, dabs, shatter, social media coverage of events, new products, patient advocacy, innovations and the business of cannabis.
