How Many Super Bowls is Josh Allen Going To Win?

Apr 11, 2022

Josh Allen is the best quarterback in the NFL, and Bills Mafia is asking, how many Super Bowls is he going to win?

I love Bills Mafia. It’s a combination of fans who have been hurt so much by one franchise they refuse to buy into the hype, mixed in with another group that has zero idea how to deal with success.

One of my favourite pastimes is to just read threads on Bills Twitter and see what kind of shenanigans the Mafia has come up with that day. Today, Bills’ fans are debating how many Super Bowls Josh Allen is going to win.

For those of you that don’t know me, I’m a New England Patriots fan, but I’m not a “hatter”. I have a lot of respect for what this Buffalo Bills team is becoming, I’ve had faith in Josh Allen since his rookie season (something I flex weekley), and I’ve had zero issue declaring that Josh Allen is the best quarterback in the NFL. With all that dick sucking out of the way, I want to share an observation I’ve noticed about the Bills Mafia.

Bills’ fans seem to be concentrating on how many Super Bowls Buffalo is going to win. How about you just focus on winning one. I’ve also witnessed conversations between Bills fans about long term sustainability, and some fans are worried that the Von Miller signing and the Stefon Diggs extension are going to hurt the Bills in the long run, and is it worth it to go all in just to win one Super Bowl? OF COURSE IT IS! Winning championships isn’t easy, and no fan base should look at what the Patriots did for twenty-years and have those kinds of expectations. Just ask Kansas City Chiefs fans how difficult multiple championships are.  Bills Mafia, your team is the best in the NFL, enjoy it, don’t worry about the future, live in the now.

Maybe it’s because I’m an outsider and have no emotional attachment to the team, but I dug this answer. The Buffalo Bills went through quarterback hell after Jim Kelly. Even the additions of Doug Flutie and Drew Bledsoe didn’t bring the type of success Buffalo was hoping for. Bills’ fans now get to watch the best quarterback in the NFL play on a week-to-week basis, and I respect a fan that can just sit back and enjoy it.

I was looking for Bills Mafia responses, but this response caught my eye. There has been a rivalry between Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills fans over their respective quarterbacks. Let put out there that I fucking love Lamar Jackson. Not just the player on the field (which is spectacular) but he seems like a legit dude off the field, and meeting him is a bucket list item for me. That all being said, seeing a Ravens fan show love to Josh Allen is the type of content I’m here for. I also totally agree. There is no way Josh Allen doesn’t get to the Super Bowl. I know anything can happen in the Super Bowl (Trent Dilfer and Nick Foles are champions), so I guess I can’t guarantee that Allen is going to win a Super Bowl, but I will guarantee that he can get there.

This is the type of expectation I try to stop. “At least” three is a ridiculous expectation to have. I totally get that Bills’ fans are pumped up, and you should be, but take a step back. Your franchise has won a total of zero championships. You still flex losing four fucking Super Bowls. If you expect three and get one, you won’t get the long lasting enjoyment. Let me explain to you what it’s like being a Patriots’ fan. Because Tom Brady is in Tampa, and New England hasn’t won a championship since 2018, Pats Nation have become insufferable fucking cry babies. My own fan base drives me crazy, because there is entitlement running through their blood. Instead of reflecting on the past success, it has made them more miserable. We’ve seen the same thing with the Kansas City Chiefs’ fan base. The Chiefs Kingdom used to be like Bills’ fans, “just give us one”. Now they have one, and the bickering, saltiness, and entitlement is poisoning their fan base. So Bills Mafia, learn from others mistakes, and take things one season at a time.
