Japanese Game Shows are the BEST!

See what I mean?  They are so creative and emphasize laughter and fun.  American game shows tend to prioritize money and drama.

As the title of that compilation video proves, we tend to classify the unfamiliar as weird, but there’s nothing strange about it when you contextualize the comedy within the frame of Japanese culture.

Personally I enjoy Jeopardy, a show that is all about trivia and money where the answer is really the question and the question is the answer because F*CK YOU that’s why (I like to imagine that’s Alex Trebek’s response any time he’s asked about the design of the show).

Also Family Feud is fun because people are stupid and Steve Harvey is a savage

I’ve got nothing substantial to write about game shows.  I doubt anyone does.
