This is great news and the Maple Leafs would be ridiculed if they walked away from the voice of the Leafs.
Joe Bowen is one of the best in the business. His passion is second to none, his sense of humour keeps you on your toes, and his knowledge of the history of the Maple Leafs is battle tested.
Joe Bowen bleeds blue, and he’s essentially the Mayor of Leafs Nation.
No word yet if this extension is strictly for radio work, or if Paul Romanuk will politely give up his spot on a regular basis. Fuck we hope so.
We are hoping to see Joe on the big screen come October.
