The Maple Leafs squeaked one out against the terrible Red Wings, Saturday night,  and it was Zach Hyman’s Parents Appreciation Night, as his parents were on the big screen about 25 times. Hi Mom!

Another thing noted from the game last night, was the fact the ice surface was fucking terrible. The puck was bouncing all over the place, for both teams of course, but to think that a playoff series can come down to a bounce, and to think the ice is that shitty at home, how fucking terrible would it be if they lost a game, not because of Martin Marincin, but because of the ice. All that money in the world that surrounds the team and the building and they have the top 5 worst ice surfaces in the league.

Makes no fucking sense.

What also doesn’t make sense is how they employ Paul Romanuk and Greg Millen. They fucking suck.

Thank god for HNIC Saturday nights, but also, thank god to our friends at Goals Leafs Goals, check them out as they put in the time to ensure the looping of these next videos, are spot on.

Leafs outlast the Wings. The fourth line looks legit. JVR didn’t score. Papi and Bill Ny will be the best Leafs duo of all time by the time it’s all said and done and Freddie was good enough to win.

Oh, and by the way, this is the best regular season Maple Leafs team, in team history. Over the next two weeks, they are going to set team records after each game.

Let’s hope Babs gives Freddie a couple more starts so he can beat the Leafs wins record by a tendy. Who holds the record of 37 you ask. Ed Belfour and Andrew Raycroft.

Now, just imagine if Dermott, Kapanen, and Johnsson were up all year. Or, if Matthews didn’t get hurt.
