Jose Bautista’s Bat Flip Home Run Ball Is Up For Auction

Jan 5, 2019

Jose originally wanted 250 million over 5 Years, but it’s probably only worth 3500 because of his age.

I love it when people include us in tweets to real sports media outlets.  If you really want to piss them off, keep including us in your Twitter queries.

Spiro, I love your passion, but you don’t need to get Trudeau involved. He’s busy virtue signaling and glad-handing his way to another Majority, so he can’t help.

Lelands is a legit auction house.  I sent them some jerseys a while back and they sent them back because I couldn’t tell them how I acquired them or from who.  They weren’t doubting the legitimacy of the jerseys, but my “I was really drunk at a hockey auction (true story)” didn’t wash.  My point is, this is the real HR ball, or they wouldn’t be auctioning it off.

Possession is 10/10ths of the law if you happen to grab a monumental ball at a game.  Whoever has possession of the ball owns it and can do what they please with the ball.  That includes auctioning it off for beer money.

If I’m the Jays, I don’t want it.  It’s a reminder of a shitty strike zone and terrible fielding by a team that should have won the world series and didn’t.

Sort of like your dad’s belt.

Imagine your dad dies.  They want to bury him in his favorite leather belt he wore for 50 years.  They ask you if you wish to take the belt as a keepsake after he’s cremated. You decline because it’s the same belt he used to beat the shit out of you with for not taking out the garbage or being mean to your sister.

That’s a hard pass for me, and so is this baseball for the Jays.

Don’t get fooled by the reserve bid.  Some idiot will pay BIG stupid money for this reminder of not winning because it was the third best moment in franchise history and he got laid that nite, so he wants a keepsake to use as a springboard into how lonely he is.

Thank God Bautista isn’t selling it, huh?
