The NFL’s top 100 player countdown brings arguments and controversy every year. For the most part, I ignore it and think it’s a stupid list and a stupid conversation. However, Josh Allen being snubbed from the top 10 NFL players list is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard this month.

I 100% rely on the eye test when it comes to this kind of list. Stats can be misleading and can be manipulated to fit anybody’s argument. When we’re talking about the best players in any sport, we have to watch them play, and we’ll get a good idea about how good they are and where they rank in their respective sports.
The NFL is a quarterback league. If you don’t have a good to a great quarterback, your team has no chance of competing for a Super Bowl. The Buffalo Bills have been the punching bag of the AFC East since the late 1990s, and lo and behold, things turned around when Buffalo drafted Josh Allen.

Though his first couple of seasons were a little rough, Allen has become one of the NFL’s premier players. His skill set is comparable to the great Michael Vick, and many would agree that Allen is even better.
If somebody who knows nothing about football asked me to describe Josh Allen, I have the perfect description; Josh Allen is an athlete who happens to play quarterback. Allen’s combination of speed, strength, and toughness would make Allen successful in any position.

You have to be considered a top-10 talent when you’re that good. I’m a New England Patriots fan, and it hurts me to say this, but I have a feeling by the end of this season, people will be calling Josh Allen the best quarterback in the NFL.
