Kawhi Leonard is “Furious, Does Not Want To Play For Toronto’ and willing to ‘Sit Out’ the year.

The Raptors have agreed to a deal to send DeMar DeRozan to the Spurs for Leonard. The longtime Raptors star was frustrated after team officials met with him during summer league to tell him he would not be traded, according to ESPN.com. He has been with the Raptors since being drafted No. 9 overall in 2009.

“Be told one thing & the outcome another,” DeRozan wrote in an Instagram story early Wednesday. “Can’t trust em. Ain’t no loyalty in this game. Sell you out quickly for a little bit of nothing…

“Soon you’ll understand. Don’t disturb.”

Those words came soon after reports surfaced that the two teams were in serious talks that would be finalized hours later. The 28-year-old was the face of the Raptors organization and seemed content to play as long as possible in Canada. DeRozan’s current contract lasts until 2021. He’ll get paid $27.7 million each of the next three seasons.

Despite their regular-season successes, the Raptors have struggled in the postseason. Toronto has made it to the playoffs in each of the last five seasons but hasn’t reached the NBA Finals.

In May, DeRozan was relegated to the bench in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Cavaliers, with the Raptors’ season on the line. DeRozan had scored just eight points early in the game and sat and watched for the final 14 minutes, while LeBron James poured in a game-high 38 points and handed Toronto a 3-0 deficit on the way to a sweep.

Toronto head coach Dwayne Casey was fired in June, despite being the NBA’s Coach of the Year. He was replaced by Nick Nurse, who had been an assistant on the team.

Along with DeRozan, the Raptors are sending center Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-rounder to the Spurs for Leonard and swingman Danny Green.

Leonard is also not happy with the deal, and reportedly has no interest in playing for Toronto. He wants to move to Los Angeles in free agency next year, preferably to join James and the Lakers.

Off to a blazing start!

For the record, Masai wouldn’t pull a Glen Grunwald and trade for a guy who wouldn’t come here under any circumstances and if he did, he’s an idiot.

Fortunately, he’s not an idiot so relax.

But can you imagine if he is an idiot and Kawhi won’t come and plays like a guy who didn’t want to come and the Raptors have to trade everyone at the deadline and they suck ass for years again?  Holy shit right?

Wrong.  People peddling this bullshit need to stop.  Masai would never be that stupid.
