Leafs balking at Kapanen for Georgiev trade?

Breaking Leaf RUMORS!
In an attempt to plug a bowling ball-sized hole in net, the Maple Leafs and Rangers have apparently discussed swapping ‘Swiss Army Knife’ Kasperi Kapanen for freak show goaler Alexander Georgiev
Did some poking around & here’s what I got:
Sources close to the situation indicate that the Leafs are not inclined to part with a roster player in a trade for Georgiev.
So, take that as you will.

Georgiev is the best-kept secret in the NHL and he’s quickly pricing himself out of a trade.
In 20 games Georgiev has a .913 SV% and just stoned the Islanders twice, stopping 70 shots over his last two games.
He also has a REALLY, REALLY short fuse.
I want more of this in a Leaf uniform, preferably on defence and on the wing. God, I cannot tell you how bored I am of the Leafs from a competitive standpoint. Maybe they’re all a bunch of Zen youngsters but when they get down 6 early (getting fisted by the Panthers last week comes to mind) they glide to the bench, hork, sit down and look up at the jumbotron for a replay. That’s it. No bellowing FUUUCK!!!. No stick swinging or post-goal crosscheck in the face.
A little Geogiev could go a long way in Toronto but if the Rangers want Kapanen, they can kick rocks. He does and can do anything. PP, PK, lines 1 thru 4 Kappy might be the Maple Leafs most useful player. Hutch has been better and Freddy sprung a leak this month. Who gives a shit? Toronto’s in good shape and ‘Fredward’ was spectacular last night losing 2-1 in a SO.
And only a moron would take Kapanen out of this lineup.
Give ’em a second-rounder and Timo, bring Bracco up.
If the Leafs do three or four more things like that, we’re cup bound. Totally.
