LeBron James Thinks Everyone Should Leave The Chinese Gov’t Alone Because, Money.

There might not be a less important geopolitical opinion in sports than LeBron calling Rockets owner, Darryl Morrey ‘Uniformed’ over his support tweet of Chinese protestors in Hong Kong.

I feel like today more than at any point in human history, it’s possible to say absolutely NOTHING and have it backfire.
LeBron NEVER says anything of substance and his statement on Darryl Morrey is no different.
Let’s break it down:

‘I don’t want to get into a war of word or sentence with, ah, Darryl Morrey, but uh, I believe he wasn’t educated on the, uh, situation at hand,
and uh, and he spoke….”
“…So many people could have been harmed not only financially, but uh physically, emotionally and spiritually, UH, and just be careful what we tweet, what we say what we do…”
So generally speaking, Lebron doesn’t know Mao Zedong from Jackie Chan. He’s protecting his brand in Asia and I don’t blame him but it’s almost like every word that comes out of his mouth is a meaningless quote that effortlessly baffles stupid people and always represents his financial interests.
To what end does he need to comment on Hong Kong protests? It won’t help him win a championship and I highly doubt the average NBA fan is looking to glean some sweet domestic perspective on HK/China relations from LeBron.
I actually support his right to say whatever he wants. I don’t have a special place in my heart for protestors. I care less about the country of China. It’s as corrupt as Russia (maybe more) and there are derelict campground bathrooms in Canada that are cleaner than most of the country in general and they’re busy shooting Muslims, dissenters so I doubt they have time to read this.
LeBron doesn’t have to affect his bottom line with an opinion. Athelete’s can choose to speak or not. When LeBron does speak it’s always with one eye on his bank account and fortunately he’s too stupid to form an educated opinion on the HK protests to make any kind of difference and clearly he doesn’t care to. In fact, LeBron has said absolutely nothing here and it took 40 seconds to say it. And people still ate this shit up.
I think I have “LeBron/Drake-itis”. There aren’t two more individuals on this planet I’m exhausted by on a daily basis. Other than my ex-roommate. She might be the only person I care to hear from or see less than LeBron or Drizzy. It’s not so much overload as it is pure disgust with the old roommate so LeBron’s good unless he starts physically abusing me, then all bets are off.
